Sandra Trent

Sandra Trent passed away

peacefully in her sleep on

April 2, 2022.

She was born in Clovis,

N.M. on March 30, 1939, to

Claudine and Jewel Darr.

She graduated from

Hobbs High School and

went on to become a Hairdresser.

She then moved

to Lubbock in 1969 with

her second husband, Audis

Dowell and their three children.

She opened a dress shop for women’s apparel which she

owned for 15 years. She became the wife of Jim Trent and

after his death she moved to Brownwood. This is where

she met and fell in love with Don Jernigan, her current

husband. They have spent the last 18 years of her life enjoying

dancing, playing cards and going to parties. Sandra

was the life of the party and touched many people with her

light heart and smile.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Jewel and

Claudine Darr, and two husbands, Audis Dowell and Jim

Trent.

She leaves behind with lovely memory her husband, Don

Jernigan; her three children, Rhonda Sibley and husband,

Scott of Oakland, Calif.; Audra Dowell of Brownwood,

and Rodney Dowell and wife, Kaye and her children,

Kade and Kooper of Bay City. She has two grandchildren,

Walker Dowell and wife, Meagan, and the light of her

life great-granddaughter, Riley Kate; her grandson, Will

Dowell and his girlfriend, Taylor and Charlotte, mother of

Walker and Will.

Celebration of life is for 11 a.m., Saturday, May 7 at Early

Church, in Early, of which Sandra was a member.

Reception will follow at Coggin Park in Brownwood.
