Lady Comanches golf finish as state alternate; Beck Bishop advances to state as individual
The Lady Comanche golf team is an alternate to the State Tournament after a fourth-place finish at the regional tournament held in Corpus Christi the week of April 18.
The team carded a 419 on the first day and improved to 418 on the second day for a total score of 837.
Megan Winkenwerder led the Lady Comanches with a 200 score (102, 98); Grace Migl had a 101 and 104 for 205.
Autumn Bishop cared a 100 and 109 for 209.
Chelsea Whiddon recorded a 116 and 107 for 223; Lauren Faldyn finished with a 232 (118 and 114).
The boys carded a 392 and 378 for a 770 total.
Beck Bishop qualified for state as an individual with 90 on both days for 180; Jace Moeller had a 93 and 89 for 182.
Ryan Peterson wrote down a 95 and 93 for 188; Bryce Filip had a 114 and 106 for 220.
Jackson Welch finished with a 116 and 109 for 225.
