Police Week May 15-21

    The Yoakum City Council proclaimed May 15 through May 21 as Police Week. The proclamation listed that the week would begin on Sunday. May 15, Peace Officers Memorial Day. 

     

    According to the proclamation, Sunday’s day of observation is, “.. in honor of those law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice or have become disabled in the line of duty and to remember and pay respect to the survivors of our fallen herosby placing flags at half staff.”
