The Cardinals baseball moved on to the state tournament after mowing down Baytown Christian 18-0 in four innings Friday in Columbus.
St. Paul scored one run in the top of the second to end a scoreless game, drove in nine runs in the third and eight runs in the fourth.
Zak Johnson and Jackson Ulcak combined for a two-hit shutout with two walks and eight strikeouts.
At the plate, Johnson got three hits, had two runs and two RBI; Fisher Davis was 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI; Noah Boedeker scored three runs.
