    Shiner Little League softball and baseball all-star teams started competition in East Zone International Tournaments this past weekend.
    8-10 Year-Old-Softball (Yoakum)
    Shiner opened with a 15-0 win over Cuero Friday night.
    8-10 Year-Old-Baseball (Yoakum)
    Shiner picked up wins in back-to-back days: Shiner scored a plethora of runs to beat Luling 29-8 on Friday night in Yoakum. They followed up with a 23-0 drubbing of Lockhart on Saturday.
    Major Softball (Luling)
    Shiner had a first-round bye and defeated Luling 21-9 on Saturday.
    Major Baseball (Luling)
    Shiner opened the tournament in Luling with a pair of shutouts — they defeated Cuero 21-0 on Friday night and won 17-0 against Luling.
    Junior Softball (Cuero)
    Shiner was scheduled to play Cuero on Friday but won by forfeit. Shiner defeated Lockhart 9-3 on Saturday.
    Junior Baseball (Cuero)
    Shiner opened with a 17-5 win over Gonzales on Friday and blanked Cuero 10-0 on Saturday.
