    The 2A state finalists Shiner Comanches won several spots on the 2022 2A-28 All-District Baseball team.
    Junior pitcher/infielder Ryan Peterson won Overall Most Valuable Player and junior infielder/pitcher Drew Wenske was selected as the Offensive MVP.
    Winning First-Team awards was junior catcher Bryce Nerada, senior infielders AJ Patek and Bryce Filip, freshman outfielder Carson Schuette and sophomore outfielder Cale Shows.
    Taking home Honorable Mention was senior infielder Jace Moeller and sophomore designated hitter Kaidan Boothe.
    Shiner nearly had a perfect record at 34-1, coming up just a little short against Valley Mills in the state championship game.
