Scott M. Bannert

Scott Michael Bannert, 48, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2022 at his home.
The family received friends from 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, June 28 at the Schmidt Funeral Home Grand Parkway Chapel in Katy.
A rosary was recited at 3 p.m.  Tuesday, followed by funeral services at 3:30 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home Grand Parkway Chapel.
 He was born on December 23, 1973 in Houston, to Michael Ray and Dolores Jane (Patek) Bannert.
He graduated from Sealy High School in 1992. He went on to graduate from Sam Houston State University in 1997 with a dual major in Business Administration and International Business Economics. He was recruited by E and J Winery as their European sales representative.
He lived in Frankfurt, Germany for eight years before love for his family brought him back to the Katy area. He worked as a sales manager for Red Bull for two years, then for Precision Urethane for eight years. Most recently, he worked in sales for JRP Manufacturing.
Scott was fearless in his approach to life. He had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed riding motorcycles, snowmobiling, skiing, wake-boarding, bungee jumping, golfing, hunting, and fishing. He was passionate about cooking and traveling. He toured Europe and North America extensively. He was full of life, had a great sense of humor and the biggest heart.
Scott leaves behind his parents, Michael and Dolores Bannert; and brother, Ryan Wayne Bannert and wife Lynda Bannert.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Anita Bannert, Victor and Annie Patek; uncles, Frank Bannert Jr., Marvin Patek, Ervin Patek, and Daniel Fojtik; aunts, Dorothy Fojtik and Mary Patek; and cousin, Matthew Patek.
