Yoakum cross country:Lady ‘Dogs win Lockhart meet
Yoakum cross-country teams ran in the Lockhart Hippensteel meet on Friday.
The varsity girls won their division and the boys came in third place.
Varsity Girls
The Lady Bulldogs scored 33 points, beating second-place Lockhart by 32 points.
Gisela Martinez finished second overall with a time of 14 minutes, 45.7 seconds. Sam Adamek was fifth in 15:43.9; Emily Sanchez was seventh in 15:50.2. Sierra Rivera was No. 10 with 16:09.3 and following was Cameron Williams in 16:17.7. Daphne Oviedo was No. 14 n 17:17.9 and behind her was Abbie Galvan in 17:20.8. Rubi Martinez was No. 20 in 17:53.8. Mia Quintanilla was No. 26 in 19:07.9.
Varsity Boys
The ‘Dogs got third place with 56 points.
Brenten Jacob was No. 11 in 13:22.9.
Clayton Hlavac was No. 14 in 13:30.5, followed by Aiden Alvarez (13:33.4) and Rafael Castillo (13:35.5). Jesus Rivas was No. 19 in 13:43.8; Neubauer Braydon was No. 34 in 16:55.2. Daniel Martinez was No. 38 in 17:46.9.
JH Girls
Yoakum took fourth with 64 points.
JH Boys
Yoakum scored 148 points for ninth place.
