Pivo & Kolaches happens Saturday in Shiner

The second annual Shiner Lions Club’s Pivo & Kolaches returns to Green Dickson Park once again from 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22.

In addition to their 0.5K fun run at 6 p.m.—about the length of five football fields, all in a row—they will also have live music, chicken poop bingo, the Bea’s Kolache Eating Contest at 5 p.m., and plenty of beer and food throughout the event, including sausage on a stick with a kolache.

Race registration can be done online or in person on the day of the race starting at 4 p.m.

The Rocky Creek Bohemians will play before the race starts at 4:30 p.m., and the Texas Continentals will take the stage at 7 p.m., after the race is done.

The Shiner Lions Club will not be hosting its usual Shiner Music Fest this year, as they have in years past. They chose instead to focus on building up its Pivo & Kolaches 0.5K fun run.
