Lavaca Swimming Pool hosts ‘Forgotten Freak Show’
Last year they took you right up to the edge, the jumping off spot where the stuff of nightmares truly lurks, free to swim among all the real-life monsters who make that cold dark place their home.
Or feeding ground. Truth is, they never could quite tell.
Either is possible, you realize, especially in the gathering gloom that’s sure to find the feeble of heart and – um, that can’t be right – the poor of vision? Wait a minute, who wrote this?
All we know for sure, is that the folks over Lavaca Swimming Pool in Hallettsville City Park, are back at it again, and they’ll be bringing you “The Forgotten Freak Show” one day only, on Saturday, Oct. 29.
Admission to the Halloween Spooktacular is only $1, and that gets you in the door to see the creepiest, the ghouliest and the most horrid creatures on earth.
Will you face your fears? Or are you just another scaredy cat?
If so, that’s perfectly acceptable, of course, because they planned for you, too.
That’s right, starting this year, check out the all-new “Scaredy Cat’s Lounge,” set up just inside the pool area gates, complete with hay bale maze for little kids.
Events get going about 7:30 p.m., so tell your friends, haunt your families, and come join in the fun!
