Moulton cross country: Kittens, Katz teams move on to state

    Both Moulton girls and boys regional cross-country teams will run at the state meet after both came in third.
    The Kittens will run at 11:40 a.m. on Nov. 5 at Old Settler’s Park while the Katz run at 12:10 p.m.
    Girls
    The Kittens scored 122 points to come in third, behind Neches and Tilden McMullen Country.
    Estefania Colchado was the top finisher with seventh in 13 minutes, 29.12 seconds and a 6:45 average pace.
    Karsyn Blahuta was No. 25 in 14:24.85 ((7:12); Kaylee Trejo was No. 37 in 14:47.87 (7:24); Trista Michna placed No. 43 in 15:08.13 (7:34); Marisol Manzano was No 49 in 15:23.63 (7:42); Angelis Jurarez was No. 59 in 15:34.88 (7:47) and Addison Simper was No. 67 in 15:46.6 (7:53).
    Boys
    Moulton bagged 117 points with Tilden McMullen County and Fayetteville going second and first, respectively.
    Edgar Mendiola was crowned Region IV-1A champion with 17:07.94 (5:32); Trenton Meisetschleager was No. 16 in 18:54.44 (6:06);  Brayan Colchado placed No. 24 in 19:20.69 (6:14). Ricky Santana was No 43 in 19:55.32 (6:26); Seth Lopez was No. 45 in 20:05.85 (6:29); Andrew Guyn was No. 62 in 20:38.34 (6:39). Travis Haikenwaelder was No. 89 in 21:50.23 (7:03).
