St. Paul cross country: Lady Cardinals come in third at state
The Lady Cardinals cross-country team won a Bronze medal at the state cross-country meet on Monday. St. Paul scored 79 points with Amarillo Ascension Academy coming second with 69 points and Spring Providence Classical taking the 2A title with 68 points.
Individually, the Lady Cardinals were led by Brooke Cerny who was fourth in 12 minutes, 48;.6 seconds. Kristen Cerny was No. 14 in 13:39.8; Dallyn Pesek finished in 13:51.9 for No. 16; Nora Koch was No. 26 in 14:17.4 and followed by Cortney Tuch in 14:37.3; Julia Barecky was No. 29 in 14:56.9. Anna Reeves was No. 58 in 16:59.
The Cardinals came in seventh place as a team with 186 points.
Top finisher was Joseph Davis in No. 22 in 19 minutes, 47.2 seconds and following was Blaine Humes in 19:51.3.
Trent Brown was No. 28 in 20:14.3; Hunter Zella was No. 79 in 23:53.6; Jacob Twyford was No. 68 in 23:16.6; Jacob Seibert was No. 106 in 28:18.8.
