Moulton girls basketball: Kittens win big against Runge, A-T

The Moulton Kittens defeated Runge and Austwell-Tivoli in recent district action with Mary-Claire O’Leary and Torin Langston leading the Kittens.
Moulton 50, Runge 20
O’Leary booked 20 points and Langston had a dozen as the Kittens won at Runge 50-20 on Dec. 16.
Moulton led 18-6 at the conclusion of the first frame and outscored Runge 12-3 to produce a 30-9 halftime advantage. Moulton scored 10 points in each of the third and fourth frames while holding Runge to 11 total points in the second half.

O’Leary drained 16 points and Langston contributed nine points as Moulton speared Austwell-Tivoli 52-16 at home Dec. 20.
Moulton took a 13-1 lead after one quarter and blanked the Lady Redfish 14-0 in the second frame.
The Kittens held a 16-2 advantage in the third period and A-T went on a 13-9 run in the last eight minutes of the game.
