Gladys Ida Eckhardt
Gladys Ida Eckhardt (nee Gold), 87, of Yoakum, passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2023.
She was born in Fredericksburg on Oct. 12, 1935, to Edwin and Meta Heimann Gold.
On Nov. 6, 1999 she married Eric Eckhardt
She was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Yoakum.
Gladys is survived by her husband, Eric; one daughter; three step-daughters; two step-sons; seven step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren, and her caregiver and adopted granddaughter.
Gladys was preceded in death by her first husband, Freddie Scott, and second husband, Arnold Dittmar; daughter, Jill Allison Scott; her parents; brother, Reuben Gold, and sister, Lorene Nocker.
Visitation began at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 12 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Yoakum.
Funeral service followed at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Rev. Alsen Wenzel officiated.
Graveside service was conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday at Hallettsville City Cemetery where she was buried.
