Shiner girls basketball: Lady Comanches 53, Schulenburg 33

The Shiner Lady Comanches christened the final home match of seniors Haley Patek, Alyson Mraz and Megan Winkenwerder with a 53-33 win over Schulenburg on Friday to improve to 11-0.
The Lady Comanches were off to a hot start with a 13-1 run in the opening quarter and proceeded to outscore the Lady Shorthorns 15-12 in the second frame for 28-13 halftime advantage.
Schulenburg slightly outscored Shiner 11-10 in the third period and Shiner got back to business with a 15-9 run in the fourth stanza.
Shiner closed out the regular season Tuesday at Louise.
