Shiner football: Comanches win spots on TSWA Blue Bell 2A All-State 2022 team

    Shiner senior defensive back/running back and Texas A&M committ Dalton Brooks won Co-Defensive Player of the Year for the Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association Class 2A All-State Team.
    Brooks had 120 tackles and five interceptions for the Comanches who went 11-3. On offense, Brooks ran for 2,530 yards and 37 touchdowns.
    Brooks was also named First Team Defensive Back.
    Senior offensive tackle Jacob Werner made Third Team Offense. Senior linebacker Beck Bishop  and senior defensive back Ryan Peterson received Honorable Mention.
