Yoakum boys powerlifting: Bulldogs lifters take seventh in SA meet

The Yoakum boys powerlifting team competed in the Texas Strength Systems meet Thursday in San Antonio, earning seventh place.
River Bergman came in second place in the 242-pound class with a 1220 total, 500 squat, 245 bench press and 475 deadlift. Kenneth Long took third in the 242 class with a 1195 total, 485 squat, 305 bench press and 405 deadlift.
Gabriel Gomez won fourth in the 198 class with a 835 total, 315 squat, 205 bench press and 315 deadlift.
Kamren Meyer got seventh in the 165 class with a total of 850, 290 squat, 235 bench press and 325 deadlift.
Jerry Llanas got eighth in the 242 class with a total of 825, 295 squat, 225 bench press and 305 deadlift.
