Shanta (Mikulenka) Foster

Shanta (Mikulenka) Foster, 65, of Weimar, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 2, 2023. 

She was born in Hallettsville on Jan.  24, 1958 to Louis and Thelma Mikulenka.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest Foster; children, Michael Henry and wife, Brandy; Amber Cashio and husband, Michael; Eric Foster, Lonnie Foster and wife, Amy; brother, Myron Mikulenka; 11 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, who were all the light of her life with nothing making her happier than spending time with them.

Shanta put her faith and trust in Jesus. She never knew a stranger and took every opportunity to tell them of His love. She had a smile for everyone and just wanted to have fun and joke around. She loved her puppy dogs, painting, and just living life.

In 1988 Shanta graduated from Zelda L. Allen School of Nursing and spent many, many years caring for folks in and around the Hallettsville area until her health made it impossible for her to continue.

Shanta was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Thelma Mikulenka; sister, Sheryl Ann Mikulenka, and brothers, Dennis Mikulenka and Craig Mikulenka.

At her request there will be no services.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home and  Cremations in La Grange.
