Shiner tennis:Shiner places sixth at team tennis state tournament

    The Shiner Comanches tennis team placed sixth in the TTCA State Team Tennis Tournament March 10-11 in Waco. Shiner came in sixth place, defeating Northside Vernon 8-3, falling Sonora 7-1, beating Sanderson 7-0 and losing to Quanah 7-4. Boys Singles — Kye Adamek, Brady Herndon, Dylan Cerny and Cade Murrile. Girls Singles — Jordan Munsch, Chesney Machacek, Meghan Blaschke and Emily Matusek. Boys Doubles — Brady Herndon and Kye Adamek; Beck Bishop and Micah Herndon. Girls Doubles — Julie Ivy and Haley Patek; Callie Chrismon and Kylynn Ramirez. Mixed Doubles — Body Prove and Jordan Munsch. Managers — Dalton Patton and Bree Nitsch.
