Moulton softball: Kittens split district games against Ganado, Louise

The Moulton Kittens went 1-1 last week, falling to Ganado and beating Louise.
Ganado 24, Moulton 2
The Ganado Maidens outscored Moulton 15-1 in the second inning on the way to a 24-2 win in three innings April 4. Ganado led 4-0 after the first frame and outscored Moulton 5-1 in the third frame.
Kenzie Dvorak got one hit and scored one run; Audrey Swindford got a hit, an RBI triple and Madalyn Brock scored one run.
Addison Simper pitched all three innings for Moulton and Dvorak had four putouts on defense,

Moulton 20, Louise 10
Hope Kirkland went 3-for-3, scored five runs and had four RBI to lead the Kittens to a 20-10 win over Louise on Thursday. Araceli Vasquez had two hits and four runs; Simper had one hit, a double and scored two runs. Simper allowed 10 runs on seven hits with four batters hit, eight walks and five strikeouts. Mary-Clairie O’Leary had six putouts on defense.
Moulton led 5-2 after one inning and 8-2 after two frames before outscoring Louise 4-2 in the third and 7-1 in the fourth. The Lady Hornets managed to outscore Moulton 5-1 in the fifth but it was not enough to extend the game.
