Shiner softball:Lady Comanches get quicks wins vs Louise, Bloomington

    The Lady Comanches softball team dominated both of its road district games last week.

    The Lady Comanches scored a dozen runs in the top of the fourth to help deal a 27-1 loss to Louise.
    Shiner led 4-0 after the first inning, outscored the Lady Hornets 6-0 in the second, and scored five and gave up one run in the third.
    Lauren Springfield pitched two innings with one hit and three strikeouts, and Dyllan Chrismon worked two innings with one run on one hit and three strikeouts.
    At the plate, Paeden Vincik got three hits, scored one run, had a triple and three RBI; Addy Siegel got two hits, scored five runs, had an RBI and two stolen bases while Rylee Vancura got a home run, two runs and two RBI. Kailey Boedeker and Aimee Mitchon had one double each.
    In the field, Springfield had three putouts.

    With 11 runs scored in the first inning, Shiner downed Bloomington 27-0 on Thursday and scored approximately 27 runs in each of its two games last week.
    The Lady Comanches scored nine runs in the second frame and seven in the third.
    At the plate, Shiner got 17 hits, 10 extra-base hits and four home runs, two of which were grand slams.
    Vincik led with two hits, three runs, five RBI, grand-slam home run and a double. Madison Olivas got a grand slam as her one hit, scored two runs and four RBI. Vancura went 2-for-2, two runs, 1 RBI and a home run. Brinley Ramirez scored twice, had two RBI and also had a home run.
    Teresa Olivas, Springfield and Siegel combined to hold Bloomington hitless and scoreless with one walk and four strikeouts. Vancura and Chrismon each had two putouts in the field.
