Shiner golf:Shiner girls advance to state

The Shiner Lady Comanches golf team created some school history as they finished in second place at regionals April 17-18 in Corpus Christi and will be attending the state golf tournament for the first time in school history as a team.
 In 2017 and 2019, Shiner had individual golfer Monington Clark qualify for the state tournament.
Shiner scored a 413 on the first day and 196 on day two for a total of 610.
For Shiner team scores;, Grace Migl shot a 95-50-145, Megan Winkenwerder carded a 98-49-147.
Chelsea Whiddon scored a 107-45-152.
Bri Sofka had a 113-53-166; Lauren Faldyn scored 118-57-175.
For Shiner individually, Morgan Lenehan registered a 117-66-183.

For the Comanches, Micah Carson shot 91-92-183 and Beck Bishop carded 99-93-192.
