Three Indians named all-state
Three players from the TAPPS 2A state finalist Sacred Heart Indians were named first team all-state.
Kobi Valchar, Tyler Hawkins and Ty Noska were first-team selections.
Wade Shimek, Josh Terry and Emerson Harvey were honorable mention all-state.
Brady Haas was first team all-district and Cole Bujnoch, Klayton Chance and Cole Duty were second team all-district.
Valchar posted an ERA of 0.78 and batted .365 with 12 RBI; Hawkins was a .418 hitter with 16 RBI; Noska was the team’s leading hitter at .429 and in stolen bases with 16; Terry drove in a team-high 24 runs and hit .339; Shimek had an onbase average of .418; and Harvey stole 14 bases and had an on-base average of .460 from the lead-off spot.
