Ronnie was born on May 11, 1954, in Corpus Christi, to William and Georgia (Pavlas) Juranek. Ronnie was the third oldest of seven brothers and sisters. He graduated from Sinton High School and obtained a BS in Mathematics from Texas A&I University in Kingsville. Following this, Ronnie managed production planning for Celanese Chemical Plant in Bishop, TX for 40 plus years. He retired in September of 2019 just in time for his daughter’s wedding.
Ronnie was a selfless and extremely hardworking father, husband, and devoted Catholic. While he did enjoy barbequing and gardening, his favorite past time was taking care of those he loved. He made countless sacrifices throughout his life for his children, from ensuring they attended Catholic School, to putting them through college, to just being someone they could call on if they ever needed support. He was the sole provider for the family, allowing his wife to be fully involved in raising their children. He was the kind of father many hope for and only a few are lucky enough to have.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Juranek; two children, Allan Juranek and Julie Juranek Garcia and husband Roel; sister, Rose Rudolph; brothers, Thomas Juranek, Andrew Juranek and Robert Juranek; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Kenneth Juranek and William Juranek.
Memorials may be made to Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.
