    The 2023 Shiner Public Library summer reading program has ended. We had an exciting program complete with magic by John O’Bryant and Jeffery Jester, Texas Snakes and More and interesting science projects with Jennifer Rawlings. Many books were read, and many interesting and cute crafts were created.
    Thank you to our generous donors --- Spoetzl Brewery, Nancy Nerada, Schlitterbahn, Splashway Waterpark, First National Bank, SouthStar Bank, Sage Capital Bank, Maeker’s Sausage and Processing: Doug & Melanie Nevlud, B’Marie’s, Friends of the Library, Shiner Lions Club, Netardus Family, NXTLVL – Chase & Paige Fredrich.
    We closed the program with a raffle drawing, presentation of reading certificates and a foam party complete with snow cones, cookies, pizza, bottled water, and juice.
    The library staff would like to thank our many volunteers who helped make this year’s program a successful, smooth, and efficient program. We couldn’t have the success we do…without you!
    Thank you to the parents for signing up their children for the program. It was great to see and interact with all of them.
    We hope you all will continue to read and have a safe, happy, and exciting rest of your summer.
