A look at this week’s Bulldog opponent

    The Yoakum Bulldogs’ bye week might have come at a good time.

    After losing their district opener to Hitchcock 62-32, Yoakum had a little extra time to prepare for the No. 1 Cardinals who defeated Hitchcock 52-24 last week to remain undefeated.

    At 49.87 points a game, the Cardinals come in at just under half a hundred on scoring per game and are yielding 15 points a game on defense.

    The offense is led by quarterback Adam Schobel and running backs Hudson Schobel and Tyvone Whitehead.

    The Bulldog defense will need to tackle very well, have no blown assignments, and must prevent Columbus from executing big plays.

    The Bulldog offense must capitalize on every scoring chance they get and absolutely need to protect the football with no turnovers and no costly penalties. Go, Big Blue!
