St. Paul cross country: SP ready to give all at state XC meet
St. Paul girls and boys cross country will conclude their season on Monday at the TAPPS state meet at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course in Waco.
St. Paul head coach Nicco Brown said both the girls and boys teams are focused on running the best they can and let everything else fall into place
“The girls are focused on doing our very best and have been working hard all season to improve off of our own times,” she said. “They will have to tap into all of the work that they have done all season. They are prepared and they have done the work, now is the time for them to believe in themselves and leave everything out on the course.”
The boys team has put in plenty of work leading up to Monday.
“The boys have worked hard this season, competing against each other every day in practice. They too, just as the girls, have watched their own times improve over the course of the season,” Brown said. “They have to believe in the work they have put in and leave it all out there on the course.”
The 2A boys race will be at 9:15 a.m. and the 2A girls race is set for 10:25.
