    Trace Bishop ran for 119 yards and three touchdowns as the Comanches overran Kenedy 47-36 Friday in Kenedy in the regular-season finale.
    The Comanches finish the regular season at 4-6 and were 3-2 in district to place third. Shiner is scheduled to play Freer at 7 p.m. Friday in Pleasanton.
    Bishop was one of five Comanches to score at least one touchdown in the game. Tahj Brooks ran for 86 yards and a touchdown; Carson Schuette added 37 yards and one touchdown with Quincy Jones running for 51 yards and one score, and Jordan Harrison scoring one touchdown.
    Brooks had a 10-yard touchdown run less than a minute into the game and Bishop had his first touchdown, a 4-yard run with four seconds left in the quarter.
    Shiner went up 21-0 on a 9-yard run by Schuette with 8:18 left in the first half.
    The Lions got back in the game with a couple of scores in less than 90 seconds: Daniel Pena scored on a 7-yard run with 3:18 left in the second, and the Lions attempted and recovered an onside kick. Kenedy capitalized with a 46-yard run by David Fraga.
    Kenedy tied the game with 6:28 left in the third with a 16-yard run by Fraga.
    Shiner went back up 28-21 on Harrison’s 44-yard run at the 5:41 mark of the third, and followed by touchdown runs of 13 and 40 yards by Bishop, at the 2:15 and 0:06, respectively, for a 41-21 lead.
    Ryder Hartsfield scored on an 8-yard run with 5:04 left in the game to get the Lions within 41-29. Shiner answered with a 10-yard run by Jones with 0:54 left to go up 47-29 and Samir Holloway scored on a 20-yard run with 33 seconds left for the final margin of 47-36.
