Fall Beef Program planned for Nov. 28

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Lavaca County will hold a Fall Beef Program on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Hallettsville.

Registration will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the program starting at 6:30 p.m. This program will offer 2 CEUs for pesticide license holders.

According to a press release from the Lavaca County Extension office, Dr. Karl Harborth, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Livestock Specialist, will serve as the presenter for the program.

His topics will include a cattle market update based on supply and demand, cattle market predictions based on range and pasture availability due to drought, and decisions whether or not to expand beef herds: balancing the potential of a high market with range, pasture and hay availability.

Pre-registration is not required to participate in this program.
