St. Paul girls basketball: Lady Cards lose close game at Goliad

Sloane Kocian bagged nine points as St. Paul returned from Christmas Break with a trip to Goliad on Dec. 28, falling 45-36.
The Tigerettes led 9-6 after the first frame and outscored the Lady Cardinals 15-6 in second frame.
Goliad outscored St. Paul 13-11 in the third square and St. Paul scored 13 of 21 points in the fourth frame.

St. Paul led 7-3 after one quarter and 13-4 at halftime.
Goliad went on a 12-8 run to get within 21-16 in the third. St. Paul scored seven of eight points in the fourth period.
