Moulton girls basketball: Junior High girls win two games and home tournament championship

    The Moulton Junior High Kittens team won their home tournament on Saturday, winning both games they played .
    Moulton 40, Pettus B 3
    The Kittens did not cede one point in the first half as they rolled to a 40-3 win over Pettus B team.
    Moulton scored 26 points in the half, outscored Pettus 4-1 in the third quarter and scored 10 of 12 points in the fourth frame.
    Ava Olivarez bagged 19 points and Sophia Vasquez reached double digits with 10 points in the book.

    Vasquez scored 11 points as Moulton defeated the Pettus A team 27-19.
    The Kittens led 9-2 after one quarter and 13-4 at halftime before Pettus got within 19-17 in the third frame. Moulton scored eight of 10 points in the fourth to complete the job.
