St. Paul boys basketball: Waldorf 59, St. Paul 42
St. Paul came within one-and-half quarters of getting a win at Austin Waldorf but a Roadrunner 23-6 run in the fourth quarter saw them take down the Cardinals 59-42 Jan. 12 in Austin.
St. Paul had a good start with a 17-11 run in the opening period and outscored Waldorf 15-9 for a 32-20 halftime advantage. Waldorf scored 16 of 20 points in the third period to tie the game.
Jack Ehrig hit three triples and scored 13 points to top St. Paul.
Three Roadrunners scored in double digits — Merlin May had 15 points and three treys, River Jones booked 12 points, all on triples and James Carter produced 10 points.
