Judith Catherine Schneider

Judith Catherine Schneider, 87, of Hallettsville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024. 

 She was born  in Sweet Home on Sept. 30, 1936 to Jerry and Bertha Gallia Mozisek.  

She attended school in Shiner, and graduated from Shiner High School in 1954.  

On Dec. 29, 1956 she  married Alvin J. Schneider at Saint Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner. 

Judith is survived by one son; two daughters; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren;  two sisters.

Judith was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and grandson, William Freeman Pettus III.

Visitation began at 9 a.m.and Rosary was recited at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 18 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville. 

Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Father Michael Rother officiated. 

Burial followed at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. 

 Pallbearers were Shawn Echols, Jonathan Gard, Jonathan Schneider, Michael Rokyta, Braden Hartline, William Pettus, Kyle Pettus, and Guntram Janak Jr.  

Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School or a charity of donor’s choice.
