Moulton boys basketball: Katz push away Redfish 31-24

The Bobkatz routed Runge on the road and held off Austwell-Tivoli in district action last wekk.

Trent Meisetschleager made 13 buckets and sank 29 points as the Moulton Katz clawed up Runge 80-17 Jan. 23 in Runge.
Seth Lopez hit three triples and finished with 10 points while Seth Beyer recorded 10 points and a pair of treys.
Jose Mendoza was Runge’s leader with eight points.
Moulton outscored the Yellowjackets 22-8 in the first quarter and led 43-14 at halftime.
The Katz outscored Runge 26-0 in the third period and 11-3 in the final quarter.

The Katz ouscored the Redfish 10-5 in the final frame and blew a sigh of relief in a 31-24 win at home Friday.
The score was 7-7 after the first quarter and the Redfish went on a 7-6 run in the second box for a 14-13 halftime lead.
The Katz gained the advantage with eight of 13 points in the third box.
Meisetschleager topped Moulton with 10 points and Talan Darilek recorded seven points.
