Flatonia man charged with possession of a controlled substance

In a press release issued Jan. 25, the Fayette County Sheriff’s office reported that a man was arrested after fleeing capture from members of the Fayette County Undercover Narcotics Unit in the Flatonia area.

During the pursuit, drugs were observed being tossed from the vehicle.

Alfredo Muniz, 35, of Flatonia was arrested on felony charges of tampering with evidence and possession of a controlled substance.

He was additionally charged with fleeing in a motor vehicle.

The Flatonia Police Department and Texas Department of Pubic Safety assisted the Fayette County Sheriff’s office in this case.
