St. Paul girls basketball: Waldorf hands Lady Cards first district loss

The Lady Cardinals were unable to overcome an 18-10 halftime deficit and fell short to Austin Waldorf 31-25 Friday at home.
It was the Lady Cardinals first district loss, putting them at 8-1 and 15-7 overall.
Brooke Cerny sank 11 points to lead St. Paul in the scorebook.
Waldorf led 9-7 after the first quarter and went on a 9-3 run in the second frame.
The Lady Roadrunners scored nine of 15 points in the third box before St. Paul attempted to rally by outscoring Waldorf 9-4 in the last eight minutes.
