City to hold bond election in May 4 Local Election
It became official at Monday night’s special meeting of the City Council: Hallettsville voters will cast ballots on a bond election Saturday, May 4.
The bond is for $6.0 million, which will be used to repair declining streets.
Only citizens of Hallettsville will be able to vote for or against the bond.
The bonds sold are expected to mature serially or otherwise over 20 years, but not to exceed the maximum number of years required by Texas law.
The city election will also be held May 4 with three council members up for reelection.
