Grand jury hands out 19 felony indictments
Members of the DeWitt County grand Jury handed down 19 felony indictments for the month of January 2024.
Of those 19 cases, six were marked as sealed indictments, which are typically issued whenever law enforcement has not yet served arrest warrants in an active investigation.
Keep in mind, an indictment does not mean that the person named is necessarily guilty of the crime(s) listed.
Rather it indicates that the prosecutor has met the minimum evidentiary standards to bring a criminal case to trial, at which time the courts will determine the guilt or innocence of the accused.
Receiving indictments in January were:
• Timothy Verner for online solicitation of a minor.
• Alexander Graye for injury towards a disabled individual.
• Felipe Salinas Jr. for endangering a child.
• Patrick Pageler for controlled substance possession.
• Robert Davila for controlled substance possession.
• Misty Mcbride for theft.
• Monica Longoria for delivering a controlled substance and having a prohibited substance in a correctional facility.
• Nickolas Zaiontz for sexual assault towards a child.
• Matthew Joe Pompa for controlled substance possession and tampering with physical evidence.
• Franklin Fischer for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
