    Hallettsville won its home opener easily with an 11-1, five-inning victory over Smithville here Monday evening.

    Kaylie Olivarez (4-0) gave up one hit and recorded 11 strikeouts. The only Lady Tiger run was unearned.

    The LB led 2-0 before a 9-run third inning.

    Hallettsville had 12 hits - five of which went for extra bases. Hanna Zachary had three hits in three at-bats, scored two runs and drove in one. Grace Halata had a double and triple.

    The LB are 7-1 and will play in the Wimberley Tournament starting Thursday.
