St. Paul baseball: Cardinal nine pick up win at Lockhart Tournament
The St. Paul Cardinals baseball team went 1-2 at the Lockhart Tournament.

Zeke Rodriguez was 3-for-4 with two runs, double and Nate Boedeker hit 2-for-3, a run, two doubles and two RBI as St. Paul beat Austin Hyde Park 4-2 to start the tournament.
The Cardinals led 1-0 after one inning and scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth to erase a 1-1 tie. Hyde Park scored one run in the seventh.
Rodriguez started on the mound, pitched six innings with one run on three hits, three walks and nine strikeouts; Charlie Peters went 2/3 innings with a hit, run, one batter hit and one walk; Boedeker pitched the last 1/3 innings.
Boedeker led the defense with three putouts.

The Cards took a lead to start the game against the host Lions 2-0. It was the last time they would lead as the Lions scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth and went on to a 10-2 win.
The Lions scored one run in the third, and two runs in each of the fourth and fifth innings.
St. Paul only managed three hits — one by Boedeker, Blaine Humes and Joe Peters.
