YHS Bulldogs lifters compete at TSS, two lifters head to upcoming regional tournament
Yoakum boys powerlifting competed at the Texas Strength Systems meet on Feb. 21.
BULLDOGS:
Colby Jendrzey was fourth in the 165 class with 1,025 total, 365 squat, 295 bench press and 365 deadlift.
Joaquin Varela was fourth in the 220 class with 1,055 total, 395 squat, 255 bench press and 405 deadlift.
Gabriel Gomez placed fifth in the 181 class with 1,050 total, 385 squat, 225 bench press and 440 deadlift.
Jerry Llan as was eighth in the 220 class with 850 total, 305 squat, 225 bench press and 320 deadlift.
Brandon Goodwin was No. 12 in the 132 class with 580 total, 180 squat, 130 bench press and 270 deadlift.
Joel Gomez was No 15 in the 198 class with 845 total, 315 squat, 185 bench press and 345 deadlift.
Jack Meyer bombed out in the 198 class. Jared Ramirez bombed out in the 220 class. River Bergman bombed out in the 275 class.
LADY BULLDOGS:
The Lady Bulldogs powerlifting placed seventh in the Victoria East Clash on Feb. 17.
Raeshele Carroll won the 242-pound class with 760 total, 355 squat, 130 bench press and 275 deadlift. She is a regional qualifier and the regional meet will be held tomorrow in Edinburgh.
Isabella Orosco was sixth in the 242-plus class with 595 total, 240 squat, 105 bench press and 250 deadlift.
Alex Betancud was ninth in the 148 class with 635 total, 275 squat, 115 bench press and 245 deadlift.
Julie Immenhasuer was No. 10 in the 114 class with 410 total, 165 squat, 65 bench press and 180 deadlift.
Deavia Johnson was No. 14 in the 181 class with 655 total, 265 squat, 125 bench press and 265 deadlift.
Dulce Medina placed No. 15 in the 123 class with 220 squat, 85 bench press, 195 deadlift and 500 total.
Madie Svec was a scratch in the 148 class. Alyssa Domingquez was scratched in the 165 class.
