The Shiner Comanches went 3-0 in the Sacred Heart Tournament to take the Championship.
Carson Schuette and Cale Shows were named Co-MVPs while Caleb Lehnert and Landyn Pohler were named to the All-Tournament Team.
Shiner 11, Vict. St. Joe 4
The Comanches opened the tournament with an 11-4 win over Victoria St. Joseph.
Shiner led 5-3 after one inning and outscored the Flyers 1-0 in both the second and the third innings.
St. Joe pulled back to within 7-4 in the bottom of the fourth before Shiner sealed the win with four runs in the fifth box.
Schuette got the win with three runs on four hits and two strikeouts in four innings pitched. Jake Simper went one inning in relief.
At the plate, Schuette was 3-for-3, double, three runs, one RBI; Charlie Clifford hit 2-for-3, double, run, RBI;  Lehnert was 2-for-4 with one RBI; Shows was 1-for-2, two runs; Simper finished 1-for-4, two runs and one RBI; Kaidan Boothe hit 1-for-3, two runs, one RBI; Pohler added one run and one RBI; Bode Werner had one RBI.

Shiner 10, St. Pius JV 2
The Comanches powered past the St. Pius junior varsity team 10-2 in the second game.
Shiner led 1-0 after the first inning and outscored Pius 4-1 in the second and 3-0 in the third. 
St. Pius got within 8-2 after five complete innings before the Comanches brought in two runs in the sixth.
Boothe earned the win with five hits, two runs, two walks and five strikeouts in four innings. Simper pitched two frames, two hits and two strikeouts.
Pohler was 2-for-3, two doubles, two runs and three RBI; Shows hit 2-for-4, two runs, double and three RBI; Lehnert was 2-for-2 with two runs; Schuette batted 1-for-2, run and four RBI; Simper was 1-for-3, one RBI; Cauy Herman went 1-for-2 with two runs; Bode Werner finished 1-for-3; Clifford and Boothe scored one run each.

Shiner 2, Logos Prep 1 (CHampionship game)
Shiner scored one run in the top of the sixth to break a 1-1 tie to edge Logos Prep 2-1 Saturday in the Championship game.
The Comanches took a 1-0 lead early in the game and Logos Prep knotted the score in the bottom of the third.
Pohler started on the mound and pitched five innings, one run on four hits, one walk and struck out 13 batters.
Werner got the win with one inning pitched and two strikeouts and also led at the plate by going 2-for-3 with an RBI; Lehnert hit 2-for-2; Schuette went 1-for-3, run and a double; Shows was 1-for-3 with one run and Simper finished 1-for-3.
