YHS Lady Bulldog Softball Team wins 17-0 against Rice Consolidated April 2

    Destiny Rios contributed to the Yoakum High School (YHS) Lady Bulldogs’ 17-0 win against Rice Consolidated on April 2.

    Rios was 3-for-3 with three total runs, two home runs, a double, and seven RBI. Addison Pekar hit 2-for-2, triple two RBI, and a run. Madisen Grant got two hits, scored twice, and had three RBI while Lexi Zaruba was 2-for-2, double, run, and a RBI.

    The Lady Bulldogs scored 13 runs in the bottom of the first and plated four in the second frame.

    Olivia Fojt pitched a two-hitter shutout with eight strikeouts and Zaruba made the only putout in the field.
