Shiner softball: LCs rout Louise, sweeps EB in doubleheader

The Lady Comanches won at Louise April 2 and swept East Bernard in a non-district home doubleheader on Friday.

The Lady Comanches plated 14 runs at their first time at bat in the final district game vs Louise and brought in another nine runs in the second inning to down the Lady Hornets 23-0. Shiner had 11 hits with Brinley Ramirez the only multi-hit batter going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Louise committed 10 errors.
Dyllan Chrismon pitched a two-hit shutout with a walk and two strikeouts. Aimee Mitchon led the defense with three putouts.

Shiner scored five runs in the bottom of the second frame and it was enough to beat the Lady Brahmas 5-2 in the opener.
EB plated two runs in the fourth inning but nothing further.
The Lady Comanches got just four hits, led again by Ramirez who was 1-for-2 with one run, two RBI and a pair of doubles.Chrismon earned the win with two runs on five hits and three strikeouts in five innings.Vancura had five putouts and one assist.

(Game 2)
A double by Hailey Radicke to score Kailey Boedeker in the bottom of the fourth inning turned out to be the winner in the second game as Shiner won 3-2. The Brahmaettes scored one to open the game and Shiner scored twice in the bottom of the first inning. East Bernard knotted the game in the third inning.
Hits were once again hard to come by for Shiner but they did manage three with Radicke going 1-for-2 with the game-winning double and game-winning RBI. 
Lauren Springfield pitched the first four innings with two runs, five hits, one strikeout. Addy Siegel worked one frame with three strikeouts and a save.
