HHS sports award ceremony

    Kasey Harper, Layten Kolacny and Layne Gerke were named Athletes of the Year at the Hallettsville Sports Award Ceremony held in the KC Hall Sunday night.

    Harper was all-district in volleyball and basketball and was on the track team.

    The following gained MVP awards.

    Fighting Heart Awards - Preston Wagner, Olivia Etzler.

    Football - Aiden Drozd, offensive lineman; Rashaun Sidney, defense; Jashaun Price, offense and Layne Gerke overall MVP.

    Volleyball - Kasey Harper, offense, Hanna Zachary, defense.

    Basketball - Dougie Mundine, offense; Jashaun Price, defense; Jorian Wilson overall MVP. Macy Herring.

    Soccer - Jessie Whitley defense and Jordan Whitley, offense; Adam Stock offense, Austin Lala defense.

    Swimming - Lauren Lundy.

    Golf - Lauren Lundy, Brady Copley.

    Powerlifting - Aiden Drozd, Hailey Green and Sierra Chapa.

    Track - Caden Willis, Damarion Austin, Layne Gerke and Rashuan Sidney and Elizabeth Felcman.

    Cross Country - Josh Griffin, Elizabeth Felcman and Juliet Davenport.

    Student/Athlete - Taylor Lamson.
