'Nettes 4th at State

HEWITT – Sacred Heart’s Elena Grahmann finished her fine high school career by scoring 26 points in helping the Sacred Heart Indianettes to a fourth place finish at the TAPPS Track and Field Championship held at Midway High School Friday and Saturday.

Grahmann was second in the long jump (17-2.75) and triple jump (34-11.75) and ran legs on the second place 200 and 800 relay teams and the fourth place mile relay.

The Indianettes scored 64 points. St. Paul ran away with the team championship with 117.50 points while Dallas First Baptist was second (86 points) and Abilene Christian third (76 points).

Ella Demel ran the 100-meter hurdles in 17.3 seconds for third place and also ran on the 400 team.

The second place 200 relay was made up of Hallie Taylor, Karley Kostelnik, Rylan Dworsky and Grahmann and turned in a time of 1:53.50.

The mile relay consisted of Grahmann, Kostelnik, Dworsky and Emma Schmidt and was clocked in 4:23.51.

The fourth place 100 relay was timed in 53.71 seconds and Demel, Grahmann, Taylor and Kenzie Chance were the members.
