Betty Sestak

Betty Jean Sestak, 81, of Shiner, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 2 at First United Methodist Church, with Pastor Darin Zumwalt officiating. 
Burial followed at Shiner Cemetery under the direction of Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home, Yoakum.
Pallbearers were Dylan Conway, Marcus Zarosky, Dustin Sestak and Clayton Sestak.
She was born April 9, 1943 in Shiner, to Milton and Rosalie Broz Guettner. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was happily married to her husband, Joe, for 53 years. She enjoyed camping, watching the animals and birds, hunting, fishing and she loved her dog.
Survivors include one daughter, Debbie Pustka (Skeeter) of Shiner; one son, Daniel Sestak (Cindy) of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Jessica Conway (Dylan), Hillary Zarosky (Marcus), Dustin Sestak (Natalie) and Clayton Sestak; and great-grandchildren, Caydan Conway, Kyndal Conway, McKenna Zarosky, Kennedy Zarosky and Hadley Sestak.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Sestak; her parents; sister, Darcy Ullmann; and brother, Morris Guettner.
Memorial contributions may be given to First United Methodist Church, Crown Hospice or Shiner Volunteer Fire Department.
