Josephine Zappe Klesel

Funeral services for Josephine Zappe Klesel, age 91, of Schulenburg, were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Schulenburg. The family received friends beginning at 9:30 a.m. with the parish rosary recited at 10:30 a.m.
Interment followed in St. Rose Cemetery in Schulenburg.
Josephine is survived by her daughter, Shirley and Donnie Machicek of Schulenburg; daughter, Sandra and Vince Gallegos of Cypress; son, Leroy and Patricia Klesel of Hallettsville; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence H. Klesel, and sister, Leona Anders.
Pallbearers were Logan Mixon, Aaron Klesel, Justin Klesel, Cody Pavlicek, Austin Mousner, Dustin Machicek, and Lance Machicek.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Texas, St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, or Hermann Sons.
