Jimmie Ray Hairell Jr.
Jimmie Ray Hairell Jr., 57, of Shiner was called to his final resting place on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.
He was born Sept. 28, 1966, in Gonzales to Jimmie R. Hairell Sr. and Carolyn (Morisak) Arledge.
Jimmie pursued his first career after graduating from the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service. Later his acceptance and compassion to help others, struggling in life, led him to his next career as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. He worked in San Antonio until he returned to Moulton to farm on his grandparent's homestead.
He loved spending time with his daughters and teaching them everything they needed to know living on a farm. He was a devoted brother in AA, helping others, and was most proud of his 20 years of sobriety. He enjoyed family gatherings and hanging out with the Hairell boys and listening to others reminiscing about the “good ole days”. He loved trail riding, bull riding, turkey shoots and dancing. Jimmie believed in the Serenity Prayer and trusted God to see him through all things. Ride High in the Sky of the Heavens.
