Traffic stop sends driver to jail

A traffic stop on Monday, July 29, 2024, sends the driver to jail. At approximately 10:57 PM, an HPD officer initiated a traffic stop in the 200 Blk of E Fourth for a traffic violation. The officer initated a probable cause search of the vehicle and the search resulted in the discovery of crack cocaine (0.8 grams).

The driver was arrested for PCS PG 1 <1G Drug Free Zone and transported to the Lavaca County Jail for confinement. No further details were available at press time.
